Rab Noakes has been a close associate of Lindisfarne from the very
beginning, and he contributed a song for each of the band's first two albums.
Together Forever remains a concert favourite. Rod went on to tour with
Rab in 1975, in a band which also included drummer Pick Withers and
Geordie guitarist Charlie Harcourt, best recalled as a member of
Lindisfarne Mark II.
1980 Rab Noakes

Although the eponymous title of this album might appear to suggest otherwise,
it was (approximately) Rab's fifth album. Once again, Rod played bass.

1983 Under The Rain
This album was recorded in Newcastle, and was produced by Rod's longtime
associate & country neighbour Geoff Heslop. This time, Rod contributed
bass and slide guitar, and a certain Ray Laidlaw played drums.
