This album was recorded at Raezor Studio, Wandsworth, South London, during the summer of 1988. It was released by Pläne Records in Germany in 1989, and later, in 1996, by Park Records in the UK.
Pentangle met with quite a measure of commercial success during their late sixties heyday, and this was the prog-rock pioneers' latest incarnation, in which Bert Jansch and Jacqui McShee remained as the only survivors from the original line-up. Bert drafted in Rod to play electric guitar and mandolin.
All original compositions and traditional arrangements were credited jointly to the band, but according to Rod, they were mostly down to Bert and Jacqui.
Tours of the UK, Europe and the USA followed, but this was to be Rod's one and only recording as a member of Pentangle.
